Dog Lake Ontario Walleye Fishing

Northern Walleye Lodge: Dog Lake is one of Ontario's best-kept Walleye secrets. It's far enough south for a long growing season producing big Walleyes but still located in a very remote region of Northern Ontario. As a result Walleye fishing pressure is low and the population of Walleye is high. Walleye are most common in the 1 lbs. to 3 lbs. range with a high number of Walleyes between 4 lbs. and 6 lbs. Dog lake also produces Walleye over 10 lbs. A surprising amount in this size range do get caught throughout the summer. Guests can expect to catch 30 to 60 Walleyes in a day. Accommodations are in lakefront housekeeping cabins. They also offer fishing for Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Lake Trout.
