Walleyes are common in the 1 to 3 pound range but trophies in the 10-pound range do get caught and released during the summer. On an average day you should catch between 15 and 25 nice Walleyes. The high population of Whitefish produces massive Northern Pike and the Twin Lakes are no exception. Northern Pike are common in the 2 to 8-pound range but trophy Pike in the 40 to 50-inch range do get caught and released every year. In actual fact, one of the largest Northern Pike in Canadian history was caught and released in Lower Twin Lake. Wassiagomin Lodge is located in beautiful Lochalsh Bay on Dog Lake and not too far from the outpost settlement of Missanabie in Ontario. Lac Seul is considered the best Walleye fishing lakes in Ontario with high numbers of Walleyes as well as big trophy Walleyes. It's not uncommon to catch over 80 Walleyes in a day. Many customers bring in Walleyes between 30 and 34 inches, which can be anywhere from 7 to 12 pounds. Muskie populations have been increasing for many years and now Lac Seul has emerged as one of the top trophy Muskie destinations in Ontario. Muskie are most common in the 35 to 43-inch range but many big monsters over 50 inches get caught. In 2009, two 60-inch Muskie were reported being caught and released on Lac Seul.
