Shark Caught While Ice Fishing
Diane Guillemette, left, caught this 230-kilo (508 pounds) Greenland Shark in Quebec's Saguenay River on Saturday. Biologist Myriam Coulombe is taking the fish to a museum. Guillemette was ice fishing in the Saguenay fjord, where waters from the gulf of St Lawrence and the Atlantic Ocean meet 250 km north of Quebec City.
Note from Gary: My geography teacher at Waterdown District High School, Wild Bill Cambell, use to tell us about sharks in the St. Lawrence River but nobody ever believed him. That's one for you Bill!!
