They are located near Shelbyville, Illinois and right close to Lake Shelbyville. The lake is run by the US Army Corp of Engineers so there are no cottages or resorts on the lake. Robin Hood Woods is only a short drive to the marina, which makes it the best place to stay if you want to take advantage of Lake Shelbyville’s fantastic fishing. Lake Shelbyville is very nutrient and is stuffed with many species of fish. Fishing for Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Crappie and White Bass is outstanding with incredible numbers. The lake also has Muskie and Smallmouth Bass. The Walleye in Lake Shelbyville are generally smaller in the 15 to 17-inch range but that is the best eating size.
